Duas for protection from fear, whispering, danger and harm.
رَبِّ ابْنِ لِي عِنْدَكَ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ
The dua of Asiyah
My Lord, build for me a house with You in Paradise, and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds, and deliver me from the wrongdoing people.
Surah At-Tahrim, 11رَبَّنَا أَتْمِمْ لَنَا نُورَنَا
Dua to perfect our light
Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are able to do all things.
Surah At-Tahrim, 8اللَّهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيَّ
Dua for protection from every side
O Allah, protect me from before me, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me. And I seek refuge in Your greatness from being suddenly overtaken from beneath me.
Sunan Abi Dawud, 5074اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ
Dua seeking refuge from the loss of blessings
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the loss of Your blessing, from the change of Your wellbeing, from the sudden coming of Your punishment, and from all of Your wrath.
Sahih Muslim, 2739آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِ
Dua seeking refuge from whispering
I have believed in Allah and His messengers.
Sahih Muslim, 134رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ
Dua for rescue from the oppressors
Our Lord, do not make us a trial (a target of persecution) for the wrongdoing people, and save us by Your mercy from the disbelieving people.
Surah Yunus, 85-86رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا
Dua for protection from fitnah
Our Lord, do not make us a trial (a means of testing) for the disbelievers, and forgive us. Our Lord, indeed You are the Mighty, the Wise.
Surah Al-Mumtahanah, 5رَبَّنَا اصْرِفْ عَنَّا عَذَابَ جَهَنَّمَ
Dua seeking refuge from the punishment of Hell
Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is a lasting affliction.
Surah Al-Furqan, 65اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَهْدِ الْبَلَاءِ
Dua seeking refuge from affliction and hardship
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from severe affliction, from falling into misery, from an evil end, and from the gloating of enemies (over my misfortune).
Sahih al-Bukhari, 6347اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْجَنَّةَ
Dua for Paradise and refuge from the Fire
O Allah, I ask You for Paradise, and I seek refuge in You from the Fire (Hell).
Sunan Abi Dawud, 792اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَفْوَ وَالْعَافِيَةَ
Morning and evening dua for wellbeing
O Allah, I ask You for pardon and wellbeing in this world and in the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and wellbeing in my religion, my worldly life, my family and my wealth.
Sunan Abi Dawud, 5074رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ
Dua seeking refuge from Shaytan
My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the promptings of the devils. My Lord, I also seek refuge in You from their being present with me.
Surah Al-Muminun, 97-98اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ
Dua for protection from the harm of an enemy
O Allah, we place You before them as a shield, and we seek refuge in You from their evils.
Sunan Abi Dawud, 1537اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ
Ayatul Kursi
Allah: there is no god but Him, the Ever Living, the Sustainer of all. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on the earth. Who can intercede with Him without His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them. They cannot encompass anything of His knowledge except what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and preserving them is not a burden to Him. He is the Most High, the Most Great.
Surah Al-Baqarah, 255حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
Dua for fear
Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Guardian.
Surah Ali Imran, 173قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
Surah Al-Ikhlas
Say: “He is Allah, the One. Allah is As-Samad, the One free of need, whom all are in need of. He does not beget, nor is He begotten. There is none comparable to Him.”
Surah Al-Ikhlas, 1-4قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ
Surah Al-Falaq
Say: “I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak, from the evil of what He has created, from the evil of darkness when it settles in, from the evil of the women who blow on knots (sorceresses), and from the evil of an envier when he envies.”
Surah Al-Falaq, 1-5قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ
Surah An-Nas
Say: “I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer, who whispers into the hearts of mankind, whether from among the jinn or mankind.”
Surah An-Nas, 1-6أُعِيذُكَ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ
Dua against the evil eye
I entrust you to the perfect words of Allah, from the evil of every devil and venomous creature, and from the evil of every evil eye (filled with envy).
Sahih al-Bukhari, 3371بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ
Dua for protection from evil
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
