اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَهْدِ الْبَلَاءِ، وَدَرَكِ الشَّقَاءِ، وَسُوءِ الْقَضَاءِ، وَشَمَاتَةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ
- Transliteration
- Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min jahdil-bala, wa darakish-shaqa, wa su'il-qada, wa shamatatil-a'da.
- Meaning
- O Allah, I seek refuge in You from severe affliction, from falling into misery, from an evil end, and from the gloating of enemies (over my misfortune).
When it is recited
It is recited at a time of severe hardship, affliction and fear of an enemy.
Virtue
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would seek refuge in Allah from these four things.
