قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ، مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ، وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ، وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ، وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
- Transliteration
- Qul a'udhu birabbil-falaq. Min sharri ma khalaq. Wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqab. Wa min sharrin-naffathati fil-uqad. Wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad.
- Meaning
- Say: “I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak, from the evil of what He has created, from the evil of darkness when it settles in, from the evil of the women who blow on knots (sorceresses), and from the evil of an envier when he envies.”
When it is recited
It is recited three times in the morning and evening, before sleeping, and after the prayers together with Surah Al-Ikhlas and Surah An-Nas.
Virtue
Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas (Al-Muawwidhatayn) are among the most virtuous surahs of refuge for protection from every kind of harm, sorcery and the evil eye.
