Ruqyah dua: an authentic ruqyah taught by Jibril (peace be upon him) to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), recited over the sick or oneself, invoking Allah's name to ask for healing.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ، مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ يُؤْذِيكَ، مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ نَفْسٍ أَوْ عَيْنٍ حَاسِدٍ، اللَّهُ يَشْفِيكَ، بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَرْقِيكَ
- Transliteration
- Bismillahi arqika, min kulli shay'in yu'dhika, min sharri kulli nafsin aw aynin hasid, Allahu yashfika, bismillahi arqika.
- Meaning
- In the name of Allah I recite ruqyah over you, from everything that troubles you, from the evil of every soul or every envious eye. May Allah heal you. In the name of Allah I recite ruqyah over you.
When it is recited
It is recited over the sick person or oneself in cases of illness, pain, the evil eye and envy.
Virtue
According to an authentic hadith, whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fell ill, Jibril (peace be upon him) would recite ruqyah over him with these words.
