Arabic
أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ
- Transliteration
- A'udhu bi'izzatillahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir.
- Meaning
- I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and what I fear.
When it is recited
It is Sunnah to place the hand on the painful part of the body, say “Bismillah” three times, then recite this dua seven times.
Virtue
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught this to a companion who complained of pain, advising him to seek refuge in the might and power of Allah.
