اللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا، اللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا، اللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا
- Transliteration
- Allahumma aghithna, Allahumma aghithna, Allahumma aghithna.
- Meaning
- O Allah, send us rain! O Allah, send us rain! O Allah, send us rain!

It is recited with hands raised to the sky in times of drought, thirst, and need for rain.
Virtue
According to the hadith, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for rain with this dua, Allah sent rain immediately even though there were no clouds in the sky.

It is reported from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that when a man complained of drought, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hands and prayed “Allahumma aghithna” three times, and rain fell.
