Eating and drinking duas
Short duas recited before starting a meal and after finishing it.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ
Dua when the bismillah is forgotten at a meal
In the name of Allah, at its beginning and its end.
Sunan Abi Dawud, 3767أَفْطَرَ عِنْدَكُمُ الصَّائِمُونَ
Dua when breaking the fast as a guest
May those who fast break their fast at your table, may righteous people eat your food, and may the angels send blessings upon you.
Sunan Abi Dawud, 3854اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَهُمْ فِيمَا رَزَقْتَهُمْ
Dua for the host
O Allah, bless them in what You have provided for them, forgive them, and have mercy on them.
Sahih Muslim, 2042ذَهَبَ الظَّمَأُ، وَابْتَلَّتِ الْعُرُوقُ، وَثَبَتَ الْأَجْرُ
Dua when breaking the fast
The thirst is gone, the veins are moist, and, Allah willing, the reward is secured.
Sunan Abi Dawud, 2357اللَّهُمَّ أَطْعِمْ مَنْ أَطْعَمَنِي وَاسْقِ مَنْ سَقَانِي
Dua for the one who provides food
O Allah, feed the one who has fed me, and give drink to the one who has given me drink.
Sahih Muslim, 2055اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِيهِ وَزِدْنَا مِنْهُ
Dua when drinking milk
O Allah, bless it for us and give us more of it.
Jami at-Tirmidhi, 3455بِسْمِ اللَّهِ
Dua before eating
In the name of Allah (I begin).

Dua after eating
Praise be to Allah, who has fed us, given us drink, and made us Muslims.
