Full story
One of the chosen
Al-Yasa (peace be upon him) is mentioned in the Quran together with Ismail, Yunus and Lut (peace be upon them). Allah states that He favored each of them over the worlds and guided them to the right path (Al-An'am, 86-87).
In Surah Sad, Allah also mentions Ismail, Al-Yasa and Dhul-Kifl together and states that each of them was among the good (Sad, 48). This brief but honorable mention shows his high station before Allah.
After Prophet Ilyas
The Quran gives no information about the people, miracles, or details of the life of Al-Yasa (peace be upon him). According to some narrations, he was with Prophet Ilyas (peace be upon him) and continued the mission after him.
Since this detail is not confirmed in the Quran or in an authentic hadith, it should be taken not as established fact but only as information passed down in tradition. What matters for us is that Allah counted him among His chosen and good servants.
In the Quran
Al-Yasa (peace be upon him) is one of the Prophets whose name is mentioned in only two verses of the Quran: in Surah Al-An'am (86) and Surah Sad (48). In both places his name appears alongside other Prophets, in a context of praise. Since the Quran does not open up the details of his life, what we know about him is limited to the emphasis on his being chosen and righteous.

- Being a servant chosen by Allah is the greatest honor a person can have.
