In the Quran
«...Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive (Mujib).»
Surah Hud, 61Explanation
The one who answers dua
The Quran states: "And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant" (Al-Baqarah, 186). Allah does not turn away a dua.
The three forms of the answer
Scholars state that Allah may answer dua in three ways: granting what is asked, warding off a harm because of it, or turning it into a reward in the hereafter. Because of this, no sincere dua goes to waste.
