- Transliteration

- Meaning
- Al-Hasib means the one who precisely takes account of His servants' deeds while also sufficing them. The word's root carries both the meaning of "taking account" and "sufficing." No deed remains outside His reckoning, and He suffices whoever trusts in Him.
In the Quran
«...And sufficient is Allah as a Reckoner (Hasib).»
Surah An-Nisa, 6Explanation
Precise reckoning
On the Day of Judgment everyone will give account of what they did; Allah is the one who takes this account most precisely and most justly. The Quran states: "Allah is ever, over all things, a Reckoner" (An-Nisa, 86).
The one who suffices
Hasib also means "the one who suffices." Allah suffices whoever trusts in Him in hardship: "Whoever relies upon Allah, He will suffice him" (At-Talaq, 3). This name gives both a sense of responsibility and of trust.
