Reyhana

Reyhana is a name of Arabic origin and is the feminine form of the word reyhan, which means an aromatic plant; the root is connected to the concept of fragrance and scent and denotes a sweet-smelling, fresh plant. The Prophet (peace be upon him) called his grandchildren Hasan and Husayn his "two basils" in this world, which caused the word to gain a connotation referring to a precious child in the family (Bukhari, 5994).

One of the bearers of this name in history is Reyhana bint Şəmun of the Banu Qurayza; after being taken captive she embraced Islam, and according to most narrations she was freed and joined the ranks of our Prophet's (peace be upon him) wives, though some sources describe her status differently. In Azerbaijan, Reyhana, used as the feminine form of the name Reyhan, carries a wish for pleasant fragrance and freshness.
