رَبَّنَا وَاجْعَلْنَا مُسْلِمَيْنِ لَكَ
Dua of submission and repentance
Our Lord, make us two who submit to You, and from our descendants a community that submits to You. Show us our rites of worship and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Ever-Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful.
Surah Al-Baqarah, 128رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا
Dua for patience and a good outcome
Our Lord, pour patience upon us and cause us to die as Muslims (in submission to You).
Surah Al-Araf, 126رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ رَحْمَةً
Dua for being guided to the straight path
Our Lord, grant us mercy from Yourself and prepare for us right guidance in our affair.
Surah Al-Kahf, 10رَبِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ
Dua for a truthful entrance and exit
My Lord, cause me to enter with a truthful entrance and to exit with a truthful exit, and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority.
Surah Al-Isra, 80رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا
Dua for a steadfast heart
Our Lord, do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Yourself. Indeed, You are the Bestower.
Surah Ali Imran, 8رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا
Dua for patience and steadfastness
Our Lord, pour patience upon us, make our feet firm, and help us against the disbelieving people.
Surah Al-Baqarah, 250رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا بِمَا أَنْزَلْتَ
Dua bearing witness to faith
Our Lord, we have believed in what You have sent down and have followed the Messenger, so record us among the witnesses.
Surah Ali Imran, 53رَبَّنَا افْتَحْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ قَوْمِنَا بِالْحَقِّ
Dua for a just judgement
Our Lord, decide between us and our people in truth, for You are the best of those who decide.
Surah Al-Araf, 89يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي
Ya Muqallibal-qulub dua
O Turner of hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion.
Jami at-Tirmidhi, 2140رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَإِسْرَافَنَا
Dua for forgiveness and firmness
Our Lord, forgive us our sins and our excesses in our affairs, make our feet firm, and grant us victory over the disbelieving people.
Surah Ali Imran, 147اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي لِمَا اخْتُلِفَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ
Dua for being guided to the right decision
O Allah, guide me by Your leave to the truth concerning that over which people differ. Indeed, You guide whom You will to a straight path.
Sahih Muslim, 770اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ
Dua for protection from laziness and incapacity
O Allah, I seek refuge in You from incapacity, laziness, cowardice, the helplessness of old age, and miserliness.
Sahih al-Bukhari, 6367اللَّهُمَّ انْفَعْنِي بِمَا عَلَّمْتَنِي وَعَلِّمْنِي مَا يَنْفَعُنِي
Dua for beneficial knowledge
O Allah, benefit me through what You have taught me, teach me what will benefit me, and increase me in knowledge.
Jami at-Tirmidhi, 3599رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي
Dua for exams
My Lord, expand my chest for me, ease my task for me, and remove the knot from my tongue so that they may understand my speech.
Surah Taha, 25-28رَبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
Dua for knowledge
My Lord, increase me in knowledge.
Surah Taha, 114رَبِّ هَبْ لِي حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ
Dua for wisdom
My Lord, grant me wisdom (knowledge and sound judgment) and join me with the righteous.
