Al-Mutaali expresses the highest degree of exaltedness. Allah is above every deficiency belonging to creation (need, weakness, change, resemblance). The Quran says: "He is exalted above what they describe" (Al-Anam, 100).
A right conception
This name teaches a person to avoid conceptions of Allah unbefitting Him. Holding Allah in due exaltedness and not likening Him to any creature is a foundation of faith.
